Batteries in electric cars are the most powerful leverage available for the energy transition. As a collective storage, they are a valuable and growing resource for grid management.
Millions of charging processes, each with individual time frames and power demands, open up a whole new dimension of flexibility, compared to controlling regular consumers such as heat pumps and refrigerators.
In the electricity grid of the future, electric cars will even feed green electricity back into the grid. From 2024, LADEgreen will support bidirectional AC charging to tap into vehicle storage for applications such as V2G.
